Secure one of eight places on Wild Tasmania, 1–6 April 2027.
This A$1,750 deposit per person is the first payment toward the expedition. The private-room price is A$6,995 per person, with a remaining balance of A$5,245 per person.
Couples sharing save A$1,600
Two paying guests sharing one double/twin room for all five nights pay A$6,195 per person — A$12,390 per couple. That saves A$800 each compared with separate private rooms, subject to room availability.
The deposit stays A$1,750 each (A$3,500 per couple). Once sharing is confirmed, the remaining balance is A$4,445 each (A$8,890 per couple). The saving is applied to the final balance, not to the deposit. Choose your room preference on the expedition booking page.
The expedition includes five nights of accommodation in your selected room arrangement, private local ground transport with an experienced driver-guide, Mitchell Burns’ photography guidance, five breakfasts, five lunches, four dinners, national park access and the Freycinet Aqua Taxi / Hazards Beach component.
Return flights to Tasmania, the recommended pre-tour night in Launceston, Friday evening dinner, departure-day lunch, travel insurance and personal expenses are not included.
Places are limited to eight guests. By paying the deposit, the guest agrees to the Photography Expedition Booking Terms.
MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION
How the artwork is made.
From the paper beneath the image to the frame around it, each detail changes how a photograph feels on the wall. Explore the four presentations, then open the technical notes for specifications and care.
01 / THE FOUNDATION
The photograph, made tangible.
The paper is part of the photograph’s character. In print, delicate shifts of light, subtle shadow detail and the texture of a landscape can be appreciated at the scale they were intended to be seen.
- Detail, depth and tonal transitions
- Archival paper · artwork-specific stock
Construction, specifications & care
Fine-art prints are made to order in the size selected. Paper surfaces differ in texture, reflectivity and the way they reproduce tonal transitions. Where a listing specifies Hahnemühle Photo Rag Pearl 320gsm, that artwork is described as using an archival cotton-based paper with a subtle pearl finish. Exact paper and border specifications depend on the individual work; the studio can confirm them before production.
Archival materials are designed for longevity, but light, moisture and handling still matter. Avoid direct sunlight and damp areas; handle unframed prints by their edges. The paper texture pictured is an illustrative preview.
02 / GALLERY COLLECTION
A frame that gives the work room to breathe.
A contemporary gallery frame completes the photograph without competing with it. A complementary mat creates separation between the image and the room, while the slim outer profile keeps the focus on the artwork.
- Black + Black · White + White · Natural Oak
- Slim moulding · considered mat proportions
Construction, specifications & care
Choose Black + Black for a dark, immersive surround, White + White for a clean architectural finish, or Natural Oak with a white mat for a softer timber edge. Your finish is recorded with your order. Mat proportions, glazing, exact moulding dimensions, hanging details and the finished outside measurements are confirmed for the chosen size.
Framed outside dimensions are larger than the image dimensions. The previews help compare styles, but actual moulding, mat and glazing details are confirmed for production; ask if you need precise wall-space measurements.
04 / ACRYLIC FACE MOUNT
The image, with nothing around it.
For a clean frameless look, the photograph is mounted behind a polished acrylic front. Without a conventional outer moulding or mat, the work reads as a single, uninterrupted image on the wall.
- Polished acrylic · frameless finish
- Rigid backing · concealed mount
Construction, specifications & care
With acrylic face mounting, the print sits behind a transparent acrylic surface and is supported by a rigid backing and a concealed hanging system. This is a complete presentation, rather than a standard framed photograph with removable glazing. Acrylic thickness, backing construction, hardware and outside dimensions are specified for the selected size.
Acrylic reflects some room lighting, so consider windows and direct light when choosing where to hang it. Clean only with suitable soft materials. The pictured acrylic edge is an illustrative preview.

THE EDITION
Understanding the editions.
Edition size describes how many physical prints of a photograph may be offered. The print size or framing choice does not start a new edition.
THIS ARTWORK
Limited Edition · 250
A Limited Edition is a finite series of 250 regular numbered prints in total of this photograph. That is 250 across all available sizes and finishes combined — not 250 in every size, and not a separate run for framed versus acrylic pieces.
For a particular edition number, current availability or documentation accompanying an artwork, please request confirmation from the studio.
What is an artist’s proof (AP)?
Some photographs separately list artist’s proofs, identified as AP. When specified, these are separate from the regular numbered edition. AP allocations differ by artwork; the studio can confirm the details for a particular photograph.
