Mitchell accepts selected commissions across landscape, wildlife, place and visual storytelling. The work begins with understanding why the photographs need to exist, then spending the time required on location to make something specific rather than generic.

Work made for the brief, not pulled from an archive.
Mitchell develops original photography around the place, subject and purpose of a project. The aim is to create work that feels specific to its environment rather than interchangeable with generic imagery.
THE PROCESS
Brief. Fieldwork. Final edit.
Projects begin with the purpose, location, access and intended use. From there, the photography is planned around the conditions needed to make the work properly, followed by a considered final edit. Print, installation, licensing and delivery requirements can be scoped to the individual project.
