What's included?
Nine nights’ accommodation (Nairobi breakfast; full board at safari camps), two privately allocated photographic Land Cruisers with specialist local guides, park fees, scheduled game drives, Nairobi transfers and the Amboseli–Mara and Mara–Nairobi domestic flights. Bean bags, early-drive tea and coffee, vehicle drinking water, and a shared additional equipment freight allowance are included.
We also plan a privately arranged Maasai community portrait session, with the local community representative organising willing participants and compensation.
Not included: international flights, travel/medical and camera-equipment insurance, entry requirements and visa/ETA costs, guide gratuities, drinks, laundry and personal expenses, optional extra activities or an optional single-room supplement.
Payments & booking terms
A$2,500 per person is paid at checkout. The remaining balance is invoiced later according to the confirmed payment schedule. Single rooms are subject to availability. The supplement is approximately A$1,350 per person, confirmed in AUD before the booking is finalised and invoiced separately.
Departure dates, supplier space and final tour costs remain provisional. Booking acceptance, cancellation and refunds are covered by our booking terms. Guests retain applicable consumer-law rights.
Group size and photographic access
Six to eight paying guests, with Mitchell Burns and Jessie Stenhouse hosting. We use two dedicated photo-converted 4WDs, with approximately three to four guests per vehicle. The pace is arranged around wildlife, light and time at sightings rather than a conventional sightseeing circuit. Wildlife, weather and access conditions cannot be guaranteed.
Camera gear and domestic flight baggage
The internal flights allow up to 15 kg total per traveller, including hand luggage, in soft-sided bags. Sunworld's current quote also includes one shared extra freight seat of approximately 60 kg for the group on each flight for photography equipment. Please discuss long lenses, heavy cases or extra baggage with us before booking flights; all allowances are subject to the airline's final confirmation.
Before you arrange international flights
These departures are open for conditional reservations while the supplier hold and group arrangements are finalised. Wait for written confirmation of your booking and the final itinerary before purchasing non-refundable international flights. The Day 10 flight from the Mara is expected to arrive at Nairobi Wilson around 12:30 pm, followed by a transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Evening international departures are preferable.
Comprehensive travel and camera-equipment insurance is strongly recommended. The local emergency evacuation cover included in our quoted safari arrangements does not replace your own policy.
