Ice

Shot over a decade ago, I’m only now releasing this print. Ice was captured on one of my earliest photography expeditions, fittingly in Iceland.

I still remember standing on that black sand beach, the bitter cold cutting through me as the ocean rolled in and filled my boots. Among the hundreds of ice fragments washed ashore, this one immediately stood apart. Its striking electric blue reveals its age, ice calved from a nearby glacier and shaped by the elements.

The wild Icelandic weather brought with it moody skies, creating the perfect backdrop for this remarkable natural sculpture.
