Ascent

There was a shift in the normal windy and cold Victorian weather. I felt the wind change and the temperature was warmer. It was also the first day of daylight savings, and I happened to wake an hour earlier for sunrise. I didn’t mind though , I took my time heading down the coast to the small village of Point Lonsdale, where this iconic jetty points straight to the sun.

I sat and waited, watching the colours build long before sunrise, knowing this was going to be something special. Looking straight down the line of the jetty just pulls you through into the light ..
